What Happens in the Dark Comes Out in the Light? As God said in Luke 12:2-3, no secret shall be left in the dark. All truths shall come forth into the light, and God’s thoughts about every action and behavior will be vindicated.
What’s done in the dark will surely come to light, and thank God he has created it to operate so!
This is a quote from the Bible.
“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.”
Luke 8:17
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.”
I Corinthians 4:5
“For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.”
Mark 4:22 NKJV
Can you imagine what it would be like for evil people on the day of judgment when their lives will be played like a video for all to see?
We will know who caused the pandemic, or who killed and slaughtered children and famous persons. Everything will be revealed, in the open for all to see.
Know this: what you do when no one is watching or around will eventually be found out. It might not be immediate at first, but it will be. It’s inevitable.
As humans, we all hide and do some wrong things when we’re alone. We do things on the internet, do things we think no one is paying attention to that hurt us, that hurt others.
Sometimes the damage is immediate. But other times, it takes time – and this is where things spin out of control – we don’t get caught now and so we keep doing this thing we shouldn’t be doing since we keep getting away with it.
And then we’re in too deep and getting out–whether we want to or not–doesn’t seem like a possibility.
It takes God’s grace and mercy to survive these actions. Anytime, I hear about the secret lives of others, I pray that God showers his mercy and grace on those people no matter how shocking their secrets are. But I do wish they would have stopped hiding and asked for help; I do wish for a different end to their story.
I pray the same for you too- whatever it is you’re hiding, whatever feels too broken and shameful and dirty to be brought to light that you find someone who loves and cares for you well and is willing to listen. So, go on and ask for help.
I know it may seem scary at first and may feel like the damage is irreparable but it really is not. Seeking help is infinitely better than being caught.
There is going to be destruction and consequences and pain either way, but it will be less painful and less messy if you stop hiding now. I think that lesson has been pretty apparent in the media recently. Let’s stop waiting to get caught and start seeking light.
